Thanks to NSP I have Sex everyday Day Now THANKS DANNY SEXBANG. Anderthalb Jahre nach dem ersten Coveralbum "Unter the Covers" von Ninja Sex Party folgt nun "Under the Covers II". Zwar ist es eher unüblich, zwei Coveralben direkt aufeinander folgen zu lassen, aber Danny Sexbang alias Dan Avidan, Gesang und Ninja Brian alias Brian Wecht, Keyboards ziehen halt ohne ein Label im Rücken ihr eigenes Ding durch und können entsprechend tun und lassen, was sie wollen. Wie schon hat sich das Duo als Verstärkung die andere "Party"-Band, Tupperware Remix Party, ins Boot geholt und die Platte in kompletter Bandbesetzung inklusive Schlagzeug, Gitarre und Bass eingespielt. Erneut haben sich Danny und Brian ein paar ihre Lieblingsstücke rausgepickt und selbst interpretiert. Manches davon ist eins zu eins wie das Original arrangiert - etwa der Opener "Africa" Toto - was ich persönlich nicht sonderlich interessant finde. Spannender ist es da schon, wenn NSP und die Mitmusiker den Songs einen eigenen Stempel aufdrücken, so wie bei "You Spin Me Round Like a Record " Dead Or Alivebei dem der 80er-Synthie-Popsong einen dicken Funk-Anstrich bekommt geiler Bass! Trotz teilweise fehlender origineller Ninja sex party under the covers 2 release date sind aber fast alle zwölf Lieder gelungen, auch wenn "Don't Lose My Numer" aus meiner Sicht nicht hätte sein müssen - ich finde aber halt die Musik von Phil Collins einfach sterbenslangweilig. Auch diesmal gibt es mit "Limelight" wieder ein sehr gutes Rush-Cover, was einleuchtet, da die kanadischen Prog-Titanen eine von Dannys absoluten Lieblingsbands sind. Dazu gehören auch Def Leppard, denen in Form von "Pour Some Sugar on Me" gehuldigt wird die Nummer habe ich im Original ewig nicht gehört, jetzt ist mir wieder aufgefallen, wie unglaublich bescheuert der Text ist. Es ist insgesamt ein schönes Feelgood-Album geworden, das natürlich wieder nichts mit dem derben Humor der regulären NSP-Werke zu tun hat. Und ich hoffe, dass wir ein solches als Nächstes wieder bekommen.
